Ask us to delete an account and its data

Parents and guardians can ask us to delete their child’s SchoolGradesUp account. Anyone can ask us to delete their own account.

Option 1 — from inside the app (fastest)

Parent, for a linked child: sign in, select the child on your dashboard, scroll to the bottom and choose “Request deletion of the selected child’s data”.
Your own account: sign in, scroll to the bottom of your dashboard and choose the deletion link.

This sends us a request tied to your signed-in account, so we know it really came from you.

Option 2 — by email

Email privacy@schoolgradesup.com from the email address on the account, with:

the account’s email address (or your child’s first name and your parent account email);
whether you are the account holder or the child’s parent/guardian.

Please do not send ID documents or other sensitive information by email.

What we delete

The profile (name, email, avatar, grade), quiz scores, XP and badges, trophies, daily results, parent goals, link records and invite codes, and the sign-in account itself.

What happens next

We will reply to the account email to confirm the request before deleting anything.

REVIEW: how identity is verified for email requests; the response time to promise; whether any records must be kept (for example, a log that a deletion was done); backup deletion timing; whether to offer a copy of the data before deletion.
